Portlandia Bound

It's official. We're moving to Portland at the end of the year! Nathan was accepted to Western States Chiropractic College and will hopefully begin classes in October. Although it will be somewhat hard to leave our friends, jobs, and home, we are excited to have a new beginning in a wonderful city. We're also happy that we'll be much closer to most of Nathan's family (except for Brandon, which is sad).

So, now that we're moving to Portland, there are a few things we need to do.

A) Buy a Subaru. I have wanted a Subaru Outback or Forrester for the last couple of years, but never had a good reason to buy one until now. How will we fit in without one? I'm sure our Nissan Sentra will be shunned.

B) Name our next child an earth friendly name like Gaia Rose and buy him/her a pair of trendy moccassins. Nathan decided Gaia was the most environmentally friendly name, as Captain Planet himself calls the earth by this mytholocial name.

C) Put birds on things.

But seriously. I want a Subaru, and I really do think those mocassins are cute.

  1. I can hardly wait! Though I think Ty and I will still need to make a trip down there before you move. Miss you!

  2. Um, aren't you moving in the wrong direction? Haha! Just kidding! Moving is exciting, and I hope you like it! Having family close by is definitely a bonus...Brandon can just move too, right? ;-)

  3. Exciting! Those clips are so hilarious! Ben and I watched a bunch of them the other night. I like the bicyclist one. It's very Seattle, too. On the trail by our old apt. every time a biker came by they would SCREAM "On your left!" and mutter about strollers taking up the whole trail and going too slowly.

  4. D) Visit the Richins in Seattle.

10 points for a Captain Planet reference.

  5. That's so great! Congrats on getting into the school and everything. Though we will miss you guys, and how are our kids ever supposed to marry each other? I guess they can be pen pals. :) We're still debating about whether to move to Denver or Seattle. So many choices.
